First, yesterday at Just My Sketches we had the April 1 Card/Layout Reveal. This time there was a bit of a twist....we had no sketch, just a song choice. Crop Stop Blog Hop Challenges Completed (Edited)

I've been having such a great time hopping along with the girls at Cropstop! Been trying to get as many challenges done as possible. Make sure you stop by and check them out! Lots and lots of eye candy and inspiration! Thanks to all of you for keeping us inspired and sharing with us!

Here's what I've done.....

For Vicki's Challenge I did this baby card.

For Elisabeth's Challenge, my version of a 1950's card.

For Jessica's ATC "Playing Card" Challenge I created this, my own version of a playing card.

For Dalis' Handmade Flower Challenge, this is the layout I came up with. The flower is made with ribbon and a button. This is me and 3 of my girlfriends at a crop weekend! We had such a great time!

The last challenge I've done is Lisa's Challenge, however, due to "technical difficulties" (well, actually, my own inability to properly read instructions today....lol) I have elected to change things up a bit. I wasn't being successful at making her envelope mini, so I went with this and made a note card holder with note cards inside.....way to think out the box, hey...lol. I hope you like it, as it truly was inspired by Lisa's creations!

Well, I think thats it! I think I've accomplished everything I've wanted to! I had a blast doing this blog hop! Again, don't forget, if your quick, you may still have time to do this blog hop challenge at CropStop! I guarantee you'll love what you see!

Well, I did it. I applied for a position on the Design Team at GCD Studios! I am so excited and nervous, you have no idea!!! The deadline for applications is tonight, and then they have the extremely difficult job to pick their new designers. I can only sit here and hope and pray that I am one they choose! Wow, its been a while since I posted on here....seems like the last thing to get done all the time! I've been hard at work getting ready for Christmas. I am going to be in the annual Christmas Craft Show & Sale here in November, so I have tons of cards to make!

Are you Scrapbooker’s Club House’s next “Guest Designer?" Each month at SBCH we will be choosing from your entries to see who our next Guest Designer will be. Sound interesting? Read on!

Here are the details:
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. This holiday usually involves family gathering for the big meal so we would love to see altered items for the table. Ex. napkin holders/rings, altered vases, place cards, candle holders etc.

Upload your entries in the “November Guest DT Contest” Gallery with your NAME before the Deadline: Sunday October 26, 2008.

“Mark your Spot Remarkably” Contest at Scrapbooker’s Club House!

Scrapbooker’s Club House has a fun contest this month! We challenge you to design and submit up to 2 bookmarks for this contest. Bookmarks will be judged by a Librarian and the prize for our winner will be YOUR CHOICE of a back issue of Canadian Scrapbooker magazine, mailed right to your door!!

Here are the rules!

1. Contest runs from August 13-24, 2008.

2. A winner will be chosen and announced on August 25th, 2008

3. Bookmarks can be NO LARGER than 10”x 2.5” each.

4. You can create and enter a maximum of two (2) bookmarks.

5. You must use all of the following products, and ONLY these, in creating your bookmark: -cardstock -patterned paper from your scrap pile: please don’t cut into a new piece! -stamps/ink -buttons -chipboard

6. In creating your entry, please remember that the bookmark must be functional! ie: it must be able to be used as a BOOKMARK in a bound book or magazine.

Each month at SBCH we will be choosing from your entries to see who our next Guest Designer will be. Sound good? Great!!! We're searching for our September Guest designer! Here are the details: The theme is “Favorite Book.” Create any size Layout using photos of your favorite book or reading material. You may also do a layout of yourself or someone else reading their favorite book. Upload your entries in the “September Guest Designer Contest” Gallery before the deadline: Sunday August 24, 2008. The winner will be SBCH GDT for the Month of September and will receive a Kit of the Month with which to create your designs. “Your” creations will then be posted in our Guest Design Team Gallery. Wow, what an exciting week this has been! I've been sitting on pins and needles at Scrapbookers Clubhouse waiting for the announcement of their new Design Team, and guess what!!! I made it. I am one of the fortunate 4 who made the Design Team! I'm so excited to get started and my creative juices are flowing freely!

I would like to congratulate my fellow Design Team members, Mary Chong, Jennifer Cowle and Allyson Bright-Meyer! Congratulations ladies! I think we're going to make an amazing team! Also, congratulations to Lee Brehon for becoming the Guest Designer for August at SBCH! Ladies, your work is stunning and I can't wait to see what we bring to the table!

I would like to thank Nicole, Noella and Ali for picking me and giving me such an amazing opportunity!

To the outgoing Design Team, thank you for your months of fun, inspiration and challenges. We have, as Mary says, "huge shoes to fill"! You are all fantastic!!

Wow, its been a little too long since I updated.

So, a few new things have been happening. My second youngest son and my nephew graduated! Only one left!!! Unbelievable!

Don't they look handsome!! I know, I'm biased :).

I've been at my new job now for two months already! Time really flies. I love the job so much.... There are a couple of things that would make it even better, but we won't get into that...lol.

I've applied for Design Team member at SBCH!! That is so exciting, been on pins and needles since I sent in my application. These are the layouts I did for the contest. (one is an existing layout, that is one of my all time faves)

So thats pretty much the new stuff. (I know...yawn...boring...lol)

I'll try and keep updated a little more frequently....feels like I forget way too much if I'm not writing this stuff down. (think thats an age thing??)

Well, this is my first attempt at blogging. I really have no idea what I'm doing, so please bear with me while I figure it all out...:).

I've linked some of my favorite places to visit on my blog and really hope that you visit them all. Scrapbookers Clubhouse is my favorite place to be. Its full of great people, great ideas, a ton of fun and information. Every month is something new, great challenges to get you motivated and some amazing kits to make your creations. Its my favorite place to shop! Make sure you stop by, you'll want to make this your daily stop too!

Then, I've linked all of my favorite bloggers sites here too! These ladies are very talented! Their blogs are full of inspiration and ideas.

Well, thanks for reading my babble....lol. I will try and get all of this "blog" stuff figured out. Who knows, maybe I can even start posting some tips...
BTW, any suggestions or ideas of how to blog, or ideas of what I can post will be greatly appreciated.
